THE DEFINITION OF HORROR

TEMPLATE

This cartoon is an attempt to place the phrase “First world problems” within the context of the current war in the Middle East. The phrase is used to describe minor inconveniences and frustrations experienced by people living in developed nations, acknowledging that these issues are trivial compared to serious, life-threatening struggles faced elsewhere.  Having your holiday plans disrupted by war can be stressful but these stresses are minor when compared to what is happening to people living in those countries where the war is being conducted.
