THE SEEDS THAT WE SO

TEMPLATE

In this cartoon I am trying to channel Buddhist psychology, frequently articulated by Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh, who taught that our consciousness contains numerous seeds (or potential characteristics), including compassion, joy, love, anger, and hate.  The core idea is that we act as “mindful gardeners” of our own consciousness, and the quality of our life depends on which seeds we “water” with our attention, thoughts, and actions.
