This was drawn in response to a recent article about gender inequality. In that article it referred to the glass ceiling, an invisible, unacknowledged barrier—rooted in bias, tradition, and structural discrimination—that prevents qualified women from advancing into senior leadership positions. While this is a serious ongoing problem I think by far the biggest issue is the widening gap between the rich and the poor. It’s my view that where you grew up and what education you receive has a far bigger impact on your opportunities for economic and social advancement than your gender.
