When observing the so called “peace talks” between Trump and Putin over the war in Ukraine I couldn’t help but be reminded of the peace talks between England’s Neville Chamberlain and Germany’s Adolf Hitler (though France and Italy were also involved) that saw the German annexation of part of Czechoslovakia under the 1938 Munich agreement, all done without the participation or consent of the Czech Government, and we all know how well that went! Zelenskyy and the Government of Ukraine must be feeling a bit of Déjà vu right now.
