This cartoon looks simplistic, but that’s because the issue is simple.  Cut taxes enough and there are just two options, increase government debt or cut infrastructure and services, cut taxes drastically and you run the risk of system collapse.  Taxes are not a “tax burden”, they are the building blocks that support infrastructure and services, without which modern civilization cannot function.
