Climate Change in the past and today.

When climate change was first mooted its disruptive power was seen as a nebulous force the impact of which was vague and distant, nothing to do with us.  But as its power has become more obvious it is starting to hit much closer to home, it is now occurring in our backyard not some distant part of the planet that we only observe from our TV screens on the nightly news.
