I drew this cartoon because I felt that the race to reduce carbon emissions so far has largely been a technical one that ignores social factors. It is fine to buy an EV car or put solar panels on your house if you can afford it but if increasingly large proportions of society struggle to even put a roof over their heads the aim to stave off catastrophic environmental collapse has no chance of success.
